For the price point, this is perfect. I have had a De Longhi for 10+ years. Had it rebuilt once. Still excellent. It’s a Magnifica ESAM. I moved it to our small mountain cabin where we want to enjoy good coffee when we’re there, so the new De Longhi Magnifica EVO is for everyday, at home. Fully automatic, excellent machine. I use a Gourmia frother, not because the De Longhi isn’t good, but because the Gourmia frother is SO EASY.

Like coffee maker because can use whole beans, has variety of coffee cup types and is easy to use. I have not tried steaming milk. Keep cup under coffee drip location as water will come out when turn on and off.

Haven’t used this unit long enough to say how it holds up, and don’t have anything to compare it to…but it is easy enough to use if you just want to make black coffees with it. There are no instructions on how to use the steamer…maybe it is supposed to be intuitive if you’ve used other machines…but as a newbie, it was all trial and error. Beyond that, it clearly advertises here that steam pitcher is included, but it is not. The box does not have any indication that one is included.

I am a bit addicted to coffee, so I purchased this product with the THX giving deal. So far the machine works well. Easy to clean, and easy to operate. But one complaint is that the machine sometimes over-extracts.

We owned several espresso machines since 2001, we had a Saeco for nearly twenty years till it ran its course, then we purchased a Breville which had problems with the electronic board. Breville sent us a replacement machine which had the same issue within just few weeks. We purchased the Delonghi Magnifico Evo which is a wonderful machine, very easy to use and so far it has been problem free. It takes whole beans and pre ground coffee. The only drawback is that the water reservoir could have been a bit larger. Delonghi Magnifico Evo is a well built machine and is a great value for the price, we love it.

Each time we travel to Europe, we come back to the USA and long for a cup of coffee like we just had on vacation. We finally decided to invest in an espresso machine to quench that thirst for strong, rich, flavorful coffee and bought this De”long Magnifica Evo Espresso machine. The automatic bean grinder saves the day each morning and it grinds them to your desired level – there are 13 grinding levels to experiment with! We love how quick and simple it is to use with a high quality cup of coffee as the result each day. We also like it’s narrower/smaller in size compared to other machines we looked at, saving room on our counter. The pod compartment holds several days’ worth of used pods in it, so it does not need to be emptied/cleaned every single day if you are in a hurry in the morning. One more thing: our friends visited for a week and ordered this same machine for their home – it was delivered as they arrived home from the airport. Molto bene!
